David was called to serve as First Baptist Church's Pastor on December 1, 2003. Prior to that, he served as Pastor for 20 years at several churches in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

David is committed to the preaching of God's Holy Word and to caring for those in the Church and community. He desires to lead a church with a Biblical view and inspire church members to care about the needs of those around them. He takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.

David graduated from Columbia Bible College in 1977 with a B.A. degree in Biblical Education and from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with a Master of Divinity in 1983.  He received his Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity Seminary in 2003.

David has been happily married for 50 years to his wife, Barbara. They have 4 children and 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Brad leads our church choir and the music in our worship services. He loves the Lord and music and has a great sense of humor. He also plays the guitar and sings special songs in our worship service.

Karen is a very talented musician. She plays the piano and synthesizer for all of our services. She is able to play everything "by ear". She also has a beautiful voice and sings in the church choir as well as performs solos.
